The 13th Annual Bama Bash would not hold very much racing luck for Team MSR. The race for 10,000 was loaded with pro/full time racers. A respectable qualifing time had Team MSR starting 7th in one of the 5 qualifing heat races. 52 cars showed up contending for 24 starting positions. 3 cars from each of the 5 heat race would lock into the field, The 22M car spun with 5 laps left in the heat race. To the back of the field and a slim chance to take 1 of the remaining &nbs.....

Ready for the weekend and it’s only the middle of the week, what a relief. The last couple of weeks have been down to the wire getting the car ready. Mark Sims Racing has been battling with motor failures, or “parts failures”, along with minor parts breakage! Off to a bad start for 2009, I do not think so. Green Valley Speedway 3 weeks ago started out great with hot laps and qualifying over, the car felt awesome and with a fourth place starting spot it was actually turning out to be great......

The Ice Bowl 2009

Thursday January 1, 2009 Mark Sims Racing was headed to Talladega Short Track for the 2009 Ice/Mud bowl, we arrived around ten o’clockAlabama time for the practice sessions prior to the races. We had three rounds of practice on Thursday the first and second practices were fairly fast not many changes were made to the car, after the finish of the second practice I felt that the car could be faster so I added a couple traction changes to the car, tires were .....
